Biosecurity underpins everything that we do as a business. Major biological risks are related to animal health and water quality which is mitigated through the following mechanisms:
  • Animal health control program from broodstock to #farms supported by an on-site diagnostic laboratory, equipped with the latest technology and highly skilled team.
  • State of the art water treatment system to ensure it is free of disease vectors.

The correct implementation of bio-security programs is fundamental for the company’s long-term operations and is a key factor for success. Our biosecurity strategy has very specific programs for quarantine, broodstock, hatcheries, grow out, processing plant and feed mill operations.

The breeding center is the most bio secure area. It is the start of the brood stock supply chain and brood stocks are produced on site. Our breeding program is strict and rigorous with regular checks on health tested in our diagnostic lab and periodically validated with independent external reference laboratories in the USA. We select our best families based on performance, and the specific pathogen free brood stock held in our biosecure broodstock breeding center are mated to produce the next generation.
